Happy September. Hope you had a good summer, which I’m sad is coming to an end.
Thank you for filling out the survey I sent out last month. I received an overwhelming response. Honestly, it was amazing. Jacquelyn Perry is the winner of the drawing. Thank you Jacquelyn!
In short sum, the majority of you are regular readers and don’t want to see the newsletter change. I’m going to strategize on different offerings for 2024, when the newsletter turns 10. Stay tuned. Thank you for reading and being a part of this community. 🥰

This week, I’ve been in DC for the Women’s Funding Network event, teaming up with the fabulous team from the Feminist Foreign Policy Collaborative. It’s been powerful and empowering, to say the least. My one take away from one of the speakers, Saida Agostini-Bosic: Show up like you are going to win. This is hard for me, for so many reasons, but something I’m going to print out and work towards.
There’s a lot that I’ve been eager to comment on — the G20, Biden’s visit to Vietnam, Kim Jong Un’s visit to Russia, the devastating earthquake in Morocco, the 50th anniversary of the US-backed coup in Chile and Yegeny Prigozhin’s death - but also the terrific documentary on Bella Abzug and the books and movies I’ve been reading/seeing. So much to say, so little Substack space…. — Elmira
